Our first full day in Tokyo was a busy and food-filled one. After breakfast we struck out and walked around Shinjuku, the neighborhood where we’re staying. This breakfast (times two) was delivered to our room this morning. Perhaps because I’d been up since 5 am with jet lag and was starving, or perhaps because I wish all hotels served warm salmon-filled rice balls for breakfast, either way, it was the perfect start to eating in Japan.
